About our service in Franklin Lakes
Franklin Lakes is part of our Bergen County service area, and our technicians cover the whole municipality.
11,079 residents across 9.41 square miles, which in practice means a mix of housing rather than one kind, so the useful question when you call is what is on your floor, not what the town is like. All services are performed at your home or business, by appointment, at the hour that suits you.
Franklin Lakes is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1922, with 11,079 residents at the 2020 census. Becton Dickinson headquarters and Reaction Motors Rocket Test Facility are here. Locally it is read by its sections, Bakers Pond, Blauvelt Lakes, Campgaw, Crystal Lakes, Ferdinands Mills, Hopper Lake, and a job is quoted on the one you are in rather than on the town line. Formed in 1922 from portions of Franklin Township and named for William Franklin, the Loyalist son of Benjamin Franklin and last colonial governor of New Jersey. It is one of the state's highest-income communities, with a 2014-2018 median household income of $159,883, and hosts the Fortune 500 headquarters of Becton Dickinson. It borders Mahwah, Oakland, Wyckoff, North Haledon, Wayne.
The housing in Franklin Lakes
4,051 housing units spread over 9.41 square miles of land, a density under 400 units per square mile. Fourteen National Register-listed houses along Franklin Lake Road, Woodside Avenue, Ewing Avenue and Pulis Avenue. What that changes is the fiber and the access, which is why the first question on the phone is about the property rather than about the price.
Water damage in Franklin Lakes
Third-largest Bergen County municipality by area at 9.88 square miles, of which 4.75% is water. Numerous lakes and ponds within the borough, including Bakers Pond, Crystal Lakes, Hopper Lake and Shadow Lake. We read moisture in the pad and the subfloor with a meter rather than trusting how the surface feels, and say which case you are in before starting.

Questions
Questions from Franklin Lakes customers
Question 1: Do you cover Franklin Lakes?
Yes. A borough of 11,079 is a normal stop rather than a special trip, and we take bookings at any hour of the day for it.
Question 2: How long before we can walk on the carpet in Franklin Lakes?
That depends on the season. In warm, dry weather most carpet is dry within hours, and in winter thick carpet can take up to 48 hours. The size of the property changes how long the cleaning takes, not how long the drying takes, so a larger Franklin Lakes house is not a longer wait.
Question 3: Does the age of the houses in Franklin Lakes change anything?
It changes the method. 4,051 housing units spread over 9.41 square miles of land, a density under 400 units per square mile, and a stock of that kind decides whether a floor wants controlled moisture and a dye test or a straightforward hot-water extraction. We identify the fiber before anything gets wet, every time.
Question 4: The carpet in a Franklin Lakes basement got wet. Do we clean it or pull it out?
Wet carpet has a clock on it. Clean water caught in the first day or two usually comes back with extraction, a new pad and structured drying, and water that stood longer usually does not. We measure the pad and the subfloor rather than trusting how the surface feels.
Question 5: Which ZIP codes do you cover in Franklin Lakes?
Franklin Lakes is ZIP code 07417, and every address in it is inside our service area. There is no storefront and no drop-off point, so every service is performed at the address you give us, anywhere inside the town line.

I had a great experience with this carpet company! I called this past Friday and they were able to help me right away. From start to finish, Jacob was professional, friendly, and did an excellent job. Jacob was punctual, respectful of my home, and took the time to make sure the carpets were cleaned thoroughly. The difference was amazing and the carpets look refreshed. I really appreciate Jacob’s attention to detail and great customer service. The price was very reasonable for the job that was completed. I would definitely recommend Jacob and Carpet Cleaning Wizards to anyone looking for reliable carpet cleaning!

Had a great experience with Bob and his son. They were very quick to respond and set up. They finished the job within 30 minutes and cleaned up their area. My dog had diarrhea and peed on the carpet and they took everything out. It looks brand new.Highly recommend.
