About our service in Mendham Borough
Mendham Borough is part of our Morris County service area, and our technicians cover the whole municipality.
4,981 residents across 5.93 square miles, which in practice means a mix of housing rather than one kind, so the useful question when you call is what is on your floor, not what the town is like. Everything is done on site, including the rugs and the floor underneath them, and we book around the clock.
Mendham is a borough in Morris County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1906, with 4,981 residents at the 2020 census. Black Horse Inn Tavern & Pub (1742, New Jersey's oldest continually operating restaurant) and Hilltop Presbyterian Church are here. Separated from Mendham Township in 1906 because borough residents wanted sidewalks and street lights that township residents considered cost-prohibitive; the borough is now completely surrounded by the township except for a Bernardsville (Somerset County) border to the south. Ranked New Jersey's top place to live by New Jersey Monthly in 2013. It borders Mendham Township, Bernardsville.
The housing in Mendham
Mendham Historic District covers 153 acres with 140 contributing buildings dating from 1750 to 1924. Known for country homes and a historic downtown. The age of a stock decides the method before anything else does: wool and fitted runners want controlled moisture and a dye test, synthetic pile over a pad takes a straight extraction.
Water damage in Mendham Borough
The North Branch of the Raritan River begins in the borough and flows southwest. An unnamed pond within the borough is a source of the Passaic River. Carpet that has been wet has a clock on it: caught early most of it returns with a new pad, left standing it becomes a question about mold instead.

Questions
Questions from Mendham Borough customers
Question 1: Do you cover Mendham?
Yes, it is one of the 39 municipalities we cover in Morris County. We are a service-area business, so the only thing that changes between towns is the drive.
Question 2: Do I get a price before you start?
You get a written estimate in Mendham Borough before any water touches the floor, not a number that moves at the door. It is quoted on the rooms, the fiber and the condition, which is why the first questions on the phone are about the property.
Question 3: Does the age of the houses in Mendham change anything?
It changes the method. Mendham Historic District covers 153 acres with 140 contributing buildings dating from 1750 to 1924, and a stock of that kind decides whether a floor wants controlled moisture and a dye test or a straightforward hot-water extraction. We identify the fiber before anything gets wet, every time.
Question 4: The carpet in a Mendham Borough basement got wet. Do we clean it or pull it out?
The carpet is often saveable and the padding usually is not, because a pad holds water long after the face of a carpet has dried. A lower level is cooler and damper than the floors above it as well, so air movers are standard down there rather than optional, and we keep reading the materials until they are dry.
Question 5: Which ZIP codes do you cover in Mendham Borough?
Mendham Borough is ZIP code 07945, and every address in it is inside our service area. There is no storefront and no drop-off point, so every service is performed at the address you give us, anywhere inside the town line.

Our new puppy had a field day on our rugs. We needed a thorough cleaning and spot treatment was not enough. Jacob’s very personable but most importantly, did a great job!

I had a great experience with this carpet company! I called this past Friday and they were able to help me right away. From start to finish, Jacob was professional, friendly, and did an excellent job. Jacob was punctual, respectful of my home, and took the time to make sure the carpets were cleaned thoroughly. The difference was amazing and the carpets look refreshed. I really appreciate Jacob’s attention to detail and great customer service. The price was very reasonable for the job that was completed. I would definitely recommend Jacob and Carpet Cleaning Wizards to anyone looking for reliable carpet cleaning!
