About our service in Dumont
Dumont is part of our Bergen County service area, and our technicians cover the whole municipality.
17,863 residents across 1.95 square miles, which in practice means a mix of housing rather than one kind, so the useful question when you call is what is on your floor, not what the town is like. All services are performed at the house, and bookings are taken at any hour.
Dumont is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1891, with 17,863 residents at the 2020 census. Memorial Park and Twin Boro Field are here. Originally formed on July 20, 1891 as the Borough of Schraalenburgh from portions of Harrington Township and Palisades Township; part of it was annexed to Palisades Township in 1898, and the name was changed to Dumont later that year in honour of first mayor Dumont Clarke. The northwest quarter of the Camp Merritt Memorial Circle intersection lies in Dumont, a locally recognized boundary with Cresskill. It borders Bergenfield, Cresskill, Demarest, Haworth, New Milford.
The housing in Dumont
6,572 housing units at the 2020 census, only 2.5% of them vacant. Housing-unit density of roughly 3,300 per square mile across a 1.95-square-mile borough. A building with its own rules is a different appointment from a house with a driveway, and both are ordinary once they are known in advance.
The ground Dumont sits on
1.95 square miles, effectively all land (0.15% water). Inland borough bordered by six Bergen County municipalities. After any water event, drying is measured with a moisture meter. It stops when the materials read dry, not when the room looks finished.

Questions
Questions from Dumont customers
Question 1: Do you cover Dumont?
Yes, it is one of the 70 municipalities we cover in Bergen County. We are a service-area business, so the only thing that changes between towns is the drive.
Question 2: What do you need to know before a visit in Dumont?
The floor, the access and what is on the carpet. With those three the appointment is planned before anyone arrives rather than improvised at the door, and the written estimate holds instead of moving once we are inside.
Question 3: Does the age of the houses in Dumont change anything?
It changes the method. 6,572 housing units at the 2020 census, only 2.5% of them vacant, and a stock of that kind decides whether a floor wants controlled moisture and a dye test or a straightforward hot-water extraction. We identify the fiber before anything gets wet, every time.
Question 4: The carpet in a Dumont basement got wet. Do we clean it or pull it out?
It is decided under the carpet rather than on top of it. The face dries long before the pad does, and the gap between the two is where odor and mold start, so drying is confirmed with a moisture meter. Drying stops when the materials read dry, not when the room looks finished.
Question 5: Which ZIP codes do you cover in Dumont?
Dumont is ZIP code 07628, and every address in it is inside our service area. There is no storefront and no drop-off point, so every service is performed at the address you give us, anywhere inside the town line.

Had a great experience with Bob and his son. They were very quick to respond and set up. They finished the job within 30 minutes and cleaned up their area. My dog had diarrhea and peed on the carpet and they took everything out. It looks brand new.Highly recommend.
