About our service in Netcong
Netcong is part of our Morris County service area, and our technicians cover the whole municipality.
3,375 residents across 0.83 square miles, which in practice means a mix of housing rather than one kind, so the useful question when you call is what is on your floor, not what the town is like. Everything is done on site, including the rugs and the floor underneath them, and we book around the clock.
Netcong is a borough in Morris County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1894, with 3,375 residents at the 2020 census. Stanhope United Methodist Church ('The Church in the Glen'), NRHP-listed and Netcong train station are here. Originally settled as 'South Stanhope' by mining workers and took the name Netcong in 1889; grew around the Morris Canal (opened 1831) and later the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad, whose last Morris County stop was in the borough. Separated from Mount Olive and Roxbury townships in 1894. Its motto is 'All Roads Lead to Netcong,' and it is used as a control city on New Jersey highway signage. It borders Mount Olive Township, Roxbury Township, Stanhope (Sussex County).
The housing in Netcong
1,490 housing units at the 2020 census, 3.8% vacant. Housing units grew from 1,043 in 2000 to 1,449 in 2010. Older stock brings staircases built before any machine made for them existed, so those treads are worked by hand either way.
Water damage in Netcong
Lies on the shores of Lake Musconetcong. Named for the Musconetcong River. Below-grade carpet is the surface most at risk in a wet year, because the pad holds water long after the face has dried.

Questions
Questions from Netcong customers
Question 1: Do you cover Netcong?
Yes, it is one of the 39 municipalities we cover in Morris County. We are a service-area business, so the only thing that changes between towns is the drive.
Question 2: How long does the appointment itself take?
That depends on the floor and its condition rather than on the address, so the time is agreed with the written estimate and not guessed at on the phone. However long the cleaning runs, the drying time of carpet in Netcong depends on the season: hours in warm weather, longer in winter.
Question 3: Does the age of the houses in Netcong change anything?
It changes the method. 1,490 housing units at the 2020 census, 3.8% vacant, and a stock of that kind decides whether a floor wants controlled moisture and a dye test or a straightforward hot-water extraction. We identify the fiber before anything gets wet, every time.
Question 4: Water came into a Netcong basement. What decides whether the carpet is saved?
Wet carpet has a clock on it. Clean water caught in the first day or two usually comes back with extraction, a new pad and structured drying, and water that stood longer usually does not. We measure the pad and the subfloor rather than trusting how the surface feels.
Question 5: Which ZIP codes do you cover in Netcong?
Netcong is ZIP code 07857, and every address in it is inside our service area. There is no storefront and no drop-off point, so every service is performed at the address you give us, anywhere inside the town line.

Our new puppy had a field day on our rugs. We needed a thorough cleaning and spot treatment was not enough. Jacob’s very personable but most importantly, did a great job!

I had a great experience with this carpet company! I called this past Friday and they were able to help me right away. From start to finish, Jacob was professional, friendly, and did an excellent job. Jacob was punctual, respectful of my home, and took the time to make sure the carpets were cleaned thoroughly. The difference was amazing and the carpets look refreshed. I really appreciate Jacob’s attention to detail and great customer service. The price was very reasonable for the job that was completed. I would definitely recommend Jacob and Carpet Cleaning Wizards to anyone looking for reliable carpet cleaning!
